Perez Rea is a multimedia artist working in installation, video, sculpture, and sound. Her work explores themes of architecture, the concept of space, and how the manipulation of a familiar environment can influence human behavior. Through research-based projects, Perez Rea investigates the socio-political contexts that influence our interactions with built environments, examining specific sites and their broader cultural and historical contexts. Alexa Pérez Rea was born in the year 2000 in Mexico City, Mexico. Currently, she is studying at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California, where she received a scholarship and expects to graduate in the summer of 2024 with a BFA.
