Bei Liu

Hello! My name is Bei. I am a graphic designer based in the dynamic city of Shanghai. With my studio art and photography background, I incorporate a sensitivity to materials, forms, and compositions into my design process. I mostly create in the digital realm, but I find unexpectedly good results from using analog craft. I've experimented with food, hand-made packaging, acrylics, combustion, and other analog methods to push the boundaries of graphic design even further.

In my spare time, I collect film cameras, and enjoy capturing the intimate details of daily life and culture. Photography improves my ability to consider image composition and better understand the impact of light and color, as well as the significance of texture. Both graphic design and film photography require skilled hands, patience, and a passion for beauty in the details.
