Tasting, smelling, touching, listening, and seeing food have shaped me to observe, process, and appreciate humanity. While pursuing my degree in graphic design I have been exploring the various avenues of the culinary arts. As a server I was able to build relationships with customers, accommodating different situations with compassionate and empathic solutions. As a line cook, I was taught to venture beyond my comfort zone, learn new techniques and embrace the different flavors and cultures of the dishes. As a baker, I became a person who embraced the long process while enjoying some good bread. These diverse experiences have helped to shape my creative practice in observing, learning, and embracing the creative process.
