Emma Yang

Hello! I am Emma Yang. I believe that human beings make sense of the world by using the narrative mode of construing reality: telling stories. It was because my high school textbooks completely lacked that storytelling element that I turned toward design: I was a kid who was weighed down by those heavy and boring textbooks, who thirsted for real-world stories, who touched things to learn, who needed visuals to understand. Working with my hands to make a finished product was the most rewarding thing for me. Now I’m still that kid whenever I'm creating or curating artwork, and storytelling is at the heart of everything I do. It’s my hope that we can tell stories through art everywhere, and enrich the lives of people everywhere by doing so.
