Hannah Devries

Hi, my name is Hannah De Vries. I’m a Photographer and Director. My work is about world building and storytelling. Growing up, I was always involved in writing plays, building characters and creating strong narratives. Inspired by cinema, I gravitate towards the conceptual.  I craft a vision, world building with a wide view. I tell a bold narrative, emphasizing the surreal and provoking emotion through the details- the lighting, the environment, even the gaze and the posture of the model. I want to create a heightened reality, one that is intentionally composed, uncomfortable, sexy, grotesque, decadent. Whether I’m shooting stills, motion, fashion campaigns or fine art, I aim to direct a vision that is evocative and bold.
