2021 Summer
While growing up, I travelled the world with my family to accompany my dad around for his work. We started in Seoul, stayed in Warsaw in the 90’s, and Phnom Penh in the late 2000’s where poverty was rampant. As a young child, I remember seeing the lingering effects of World War Two of Eastern Europe. Collapsed buildings and broken society — the memories of all the places I have lived are the foundation of my interest in public service.
I believe that as a designer, I have the power to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others, and that as a human being, it is my responsibility to do so. My goal as a designer is to never leave a place without making it better.
