Johannes Lu

Hi! My name is Johannes Lu. I was born in Berlin, raised in Beijing and Los Angeles. I am part of a family of thinkers and inventors, surrounded by the idea of ideas. I was taught to be different.

Design for me, starts with thinking. With pen and paper, I intersect thoughts and inspirations to create objects that make people truly feel something. I value different cultures and have empathy for a variety of perspectives.

I strive for my work to be visual, tangible and visceral, stimulating the senses and connecting with people emotionally. The more I see, the better I design. I believe in beauty and elegance, I believe in being different.
