My interest in art was nurtured by my grandmother. We spent the afternoons of my childhood at the kitchen table where she encouraged my creativity and self expression. Previously, I graduated with a BFA in Art from Central Washington University. I had dabbled with graphic design, but after working for a year post-graduation I wanted to expand my knowledge and push myself. This led me to ArtCenter. My relationship with art and design is no longer simply a portal to my childhood. It’s the door to a future that allows endless opportunities. ArtCenter has taught me to flex my strategic thinking. But my grandmother laid the groundwork for my creativity and imagination.
