Liberty fell in love with Cinema at 13 years old when she discovered her family's mini DV tape recorder in a box one sunny day. Starting in the front yard of her parent's home, she creatively constructed short films with whatever she could get her hands onto- branches turned into swords and Garden Snails creatures to document. This creative and self-starting attitude continues to drive Liberty to create meaningful films to this day. Liberty has used her humble roots to learn the true definition of troubleshooting, a skill she uses daily to boost project efficiency.

Liberty's works and collaborations have screened internationally in France, Germany, Italy, and at venues such as The National Gallery of Art and The Library of Congress. By working on projects associated with organizations such as the United Nations Regional Information Center (UNric), United Nations Cinema, PBS, KEET PBS North Coast, Humboldt Del-Norte Film Commission, Six Rivers Forestry offices, The Ink People Center for The Arts, National Salinas Steinbeck Center, and the Monterey Military & Veterans Affairs Office (MVAO) in conjunction with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, Liberty has learned how to navigate both the professional and art worlds as a project leader.

Liberty uses filmmaking and photography to tell stories not often told, provoking thought and conversation for audiences and highlighting more significant issues at hand, advocating for communities, and providing a tool for voices to be heard.
