I am a fine artist.
I mainly work with oil and acrylic. I am from Yunnan, China, and I am currently living in Orange County. My paintings largely come from the world around me, seen through the perspective shaped by my experience living between the US and China.
I am deeply concerned with the enmity, prejudice, and demonization of China and her people which I have witnessed in the US. With art, I strive to present not so much the ancient Chinese culture but more importantly the modern state of China under a more balanced light, to show that we are different but the same, so we can achieve mutual understanding and respect.
