My name is Vanessa Yang. Growing up, I was always the shy, awkward kid that hid in the corner. For me, I found my escape through film, music, and animals. I went on to study Cinematography in Vancouver but realized I was more captivated by the impact of a single image and found my way to Photography.
As a Photographer, I love spending hours in the studio, playing with shadows and reflections, exploring dimension and space, texture and weight. I want to find the tension that is beautiful, edgy, quirky and slightly imbalanced, with a nod to the minimalist or the absurd. It’s about finding a cinematic narrative through the power of a single image.
