Viviana Lucia is a Chilean-American artist, born in Miami, Florida 1996. Her hispanic upbringing interacts with her artistic practice within the in-between spaces of multiculturalism. With an interest in social relationships and memory access, Lucia captures moments from unique and unseen perspectives. She utilizes relationships amongst mediums, like photography and sculpture, or video and installation, incorporating elements of identity and community through empathetic exploration.

She has been published in a number of books, zines, and exhibits, particularly in spaces focused on empowering women and marginalized communities (#girlgaze: How Girls See the World: de Cadenet, Amanda, Google Pixel x #girlgaze, GIRLH00D:305). Lucia moved to New York in 2018 to pursue a greater understanding of the photographic process in an alternative environment. After receiving an internship with photographer Winnie Au, Lucia has worked on a freelance basis as a photo & studio assistant. In the fall of 2020, she became a Fine Art student at ArtCenter College of Design and moved her creativity west to Pasadena, CA. Awarded ArtCenter UG Scholarship, she is currently working on photographic and sculptural projects and expects to graduate with a BFA in the fall of 2022.
